Two excellent Estes Park dining options are the Twin Owls Steakhouse and the Dunraven Inn.

Covered in about $16,000 worth of personalized dollar bills left by patrons and many Mona Lisa paintings featuring different additions and modifications, the Dunraven Inn offers good Italian food served in a restaurant atmosphere unlike any other. In addition to the traditional meatballs, sausage, peppers, ravioli and manicotti dishes one might expect to find at an Italian restaurant, the Dunraven’s menu offers steaks, shrimp, lobster, three types of special sauces and an extensive wine list.

The Twin Owls Steakhouse, once called the Black Canyon Inn for its attractive views, today offers a similarly attractive menu of steak, seafood, house specialties and desserts. You won’t want to miss out on an evening meal in the restaurant’s special mountain ambience that goes well with their selection of food.

Other dining options in the Estes Park area include the Rock Inn Mountain Tavern, which also features live music on Fridays, and, if you’re hungry for meat, Hunters Chop House, which serves lunch and dinner in a rustic lake and mountain setting. Specialties here include St. Louis Ribs, Chop House Platter and Chicken Fried Steak.
