Estes Park Golf

Recently recognized in The Golf Book of Lists as the 6th most beautiful in the United States, the Estes Park Golf Course has 18-holes and is open from mid-April through October.  In addition to its scenery the course is located next to the Rocky Mountain National Park and famous for being visited by herds of deer and elk, some of which weigh up to 600 pounds—an interesting hazard to negotiate around.  Coyote accompanying these herds have also been known to observe you play.

Lake Estes Golf Course, which features 9 holes and is just 2 miles away from the Estes Park golf course, can make a good round for less experienced golfers or golfers with less time to play.  This course is open year round; during the summer it can be an accompaniment to a round at the Estes Park course, while during winter months it has herds of elk on its fairways very often.  Both courses have a practice putting green, chipping area and natural grass.

If you’re looking for some light entertainment or a good place to spend some time with both your family and your sport, a miniature golf course can be found at Fun City.  Additional activities to round off an afternoon include a giant slide, climbing wall, go-carts and bumper boats.
