Calling all brides! Come on out for the Estes Park Wedding Association Bridal Show in February to see the latest wedding trends, colors, and themes for this year.

On Sunday, February 21, Estes Park is the place to be for all brides thinking of the Rockies as the perfect backdrop for their upcoming nuptials. The event is at the Estes Park Event Center from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. You can purchase tickets ahead of time online, the first ticket is $10 and each additional guest is $5. There is also a cash bar at the show.

Last year’s event included giveaways and grand prizes, as well as the chance to visit with 50+ vendors to help make your Rocky Mountain wedding the wedding you’ve been dreaming of.

According to Bridal Guide, “Couples today want a wedding that showcases who they are, that’s a fun experience for their guests, and that won’t look or feel dated – ever.” Luckily, the Rocky Mountains are pretty timeless making Estes Park the perfect destination for a wedding or romantic honeymoon. Another trend of 2016 is picking a destination that’s dreamy and intimate and we love that the rustic look is still holding strong this year.

When at the show and meeting with florists, be sure to ask what flowers will be in season at the time of your ceremony as not only are in-season flowers more cost-effective but using in-season flowers is another trend that continues to be popular in 2016.

When meeting with caterers and bartenders ask about the ability to craft your own menus or cocktails as a fun trend this year is using his’ and hers’ drinks that showoff each of your personalities and makes it a bit more fun for the guests between the ceremony and reception. Another way to please your guests is to use wait service for hors d’oeuvres so family and friends can mingle and chat versus waiting in line for the buffet.

These are just a few of the trends we’re watching for weddings in Estes Park but attendance at the Bridal Show will definitely help you determine what you want for your wedding or discover new ideas you hadn’t thought of!

If you’re planning to attend the bridal show and want to make a weekend out of it with your bridesmaids, be sure to check out our larger cabins and vacation homes, many with private hot tubs! We will also be offering our popular Winter Specials to give you the best deal in town.
