Registration is open for the Estes Park Wedding Association Bridal Show, held on Sunday, February 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Come meet with local, expert vendors and get ideas and information for your Rocky Mountain wedding!

The show is at The Estes Park Event Center, 1125 Rooftop Way, and an admission ticket is only $10 (just $5 per additional guest). The show is a great opportunity to learn more about venues – whether you’re looking for a grand space or something more intimate – meet with caterers, DJs, wedding planners, and photographers, and you can even enter to win the grand prize giveaway! More than 75 wedding professionals and vendors will be on-site to answer your questions or discuss your big day. Don’t forget about the freebies and taste testing too!

Of course you’ll want to be prepared to answer some standard questions about your wedding like date, budget, how many guests, if the ceremony and reception will be at the same venue, if there are any special requests with food, if you have a vision for your big day, and so on.

If you’ve just gotten engaged or are still in the planning process, review our top wedding trends for 2017 below to get inspired for your Estes Park wedding!

Champagne being poured

Interactive cocktail hours

While you’re off having fun taking your photos let your guests have more fun during the cocktail hour with the inclusion of lawn games, customized card games, or fun ice breaker activities.

‘Tis a feast

Most receptions offer either a plated dinner or buffet but couples have been adding additional courses or offering family-style meals more frequently the past few years. Another trend is treating your guests to late night snacks after they’ve burned off the dinner’s calories on the dance floor!

Dessert table for a wedding party

Diverse desserts

On the theme of food, we’ll continue to see diverse dessert offerings instead of “regular” wedding cake. Cupcakes, doughnuts, assorted cookies, pie, and other tasty treats are a great alternative option, although many couples will still opt for a traditional, yet smaller, wedding cake for the bride and groom to cut.

Metallic accents and bold colors

Incorporating metallic colors and accent pieces will be another trend that sticks around for 2017, though we’re also expecting a comeback of vibrant hues of greens, pinks, and purples.

Creative registries

Many couples already have the things they need for their home and are choosing to use their registries for charitable donations, travel or honeymoon funds, or gifts of experiences or date night activities.

Local flavor

Incorporate local ingredients on your menu or in your craft cocktails.

Deconstructed welcome bag

This trend is especially popular for destination weddings where you have a table or tables with local items or unique gifts that represent you and your partner and your guests can put together their own custom welcome bag or gift bag.

Four-legged wedding guests

An adorable trend, and one we’re quite fond of, is having your pets or other animals in your ceremony! Whether you want a four-legged ring bearer or you can’t imagine your wedding photos without your furry friend, many venues are going pet-friendly so you can have everyone on your wish list attend your wedding.
